Let's face it. Come out of a long flight looking good? Too good to be true! The reality is that we all come out looking barely alive. With a little help of practical tools, planning, and a bit of creativity, it can be done. Basically, looking good at the end of the flight depends on how we start it, how we spend it and how we end it.

Make sure you are well rested the night before your flight. Opt to wear clothes that grant both comfort and style. Choose low heel shoes or even go with flip-flops. Go for the loose fitting sweater or a casual shirt and trousers, instead of a fitted button shirt or clothing you are not comfortable with. Bring an extra shirt in case it gets soiled by food or beverage.

At the terminal and on the plane, avoid high sodium beverages and foods that can add puffiness to your eyes and face after a long flight. Instead of eating peanuts, fries, or pretzels, buy fruits and a bottle of water that can be refilled. I'm 100% sure that's the bloating issue for you because it happens to me too if I eat a lot of salty foods.

The dry air on the plane can quickly crack your skin, so bring a bottle of lotion and a small water spray bottle for your face. Even if you are not a frequent traveler, invest in a good inflatable neck pillow so you can sleep as comfortably as possible. These inflatable pillows are really useful and you can also use it on a long road trip.

For international flights, try simple exercises such as rotating your ankles, stretching your neck and shoulder by gently and slowly tilting your head sideways to the left and to the right. Utilize the walks to the flush toilet and walk around the cabin before returning to your seat.

When close to landing, use some kind of skin moisturizer (http://www.barbershopforums.com/talk/index.php?action=tags;tagid=193). Change your clothes if you need to, apply deodorant, and brush your teeth and floss or pop in a mint. For flat hair, use the small water spray bottle and hairspray to increase volume.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the end of your long journey.
